Picture of The Day

After a long day of work, dealing with kids, household chores, etc the list goes on, we need a minute, or 20 to unwind! With the weather getting cooler and the sun slowly fading earlier and earlier, the beach can't be your relaxation. Fahrenheit may not be a beach, but in the fall, it is the closest you will get to the beach!

Stop in and get your tan on! Take 20 minutes out of your day to refresh and recharge. Hop in our tanning bed, turn your favorite music on, close your eyes and imagine you're "at the beach." Within seconds you will feel the warmth of the bulbs, just as if it was the sun shining down on your skin. Take a quick nap if you're so inclined. The only thing better about leaving here, you won't be carrying any sand home with you!

I Do More Than Clean Tanning Beds

7 years ago, I was tanning for prom, at a local tanning salon in my hometown. I LOVED this salon. The girls that worked there were so friendly and made me feel like we had known each other for ever. I was currently working at our local Kmart, and hated my job. During one of my visits I was complaining that I had to go to work after tanning. The manager asked me if I would be interested in filling out an application for the tanning salon, they needed some extra help. I thought to myself, how awesome would that be?! To work somewhere I would enjoy!

Upon filling out that application, she immediately offered me the job. And I immediately took up the job offer! Little did I know that, that was the beginning of a huge opportunity for me. To say I loved my job at the tanning salon was an understatement. I loved the close-knit relationships I had formed with my customers. One year after working at the salon, the owner told me that he was ready to retire. But, he was not selling or closing the salon. In a matter of a year, I had proven that my job meant everything to me and I had the salons best interest at heart, and the owner, GAVE the salon to me!

From that day, I have been so lucky to do what I love everyday. Owning a tanning salon is so much more than cleaning tanning beds. It has turned into a family business. Every customer that walks through my door, knows that they belong here, that I want them here. And for the next 20 minutes (how long they can tan) they don't have a worry in the world. If they are having a rough day, my customers know I will lend a listening ear and they can vent with no judgement. I don't have customers, I have friends and family everyday coming to support my business, fahrenheit!
